THE ROYAL CONSERVATOIRE OF SCOTLAND'S

SHE LOVES ME

OCTOBER - DECEMBER 2024
DESIGNER: ALEX DOIGE-GREEN
Two dresses created for the musical theatre production of She Loves Me - a mustard evening dress and a pink slip, both for the character Amalia Balash.
The evening dress was created from a mix of patterns for the bodice. I created a pattern for the skirt. The bodice had a cowl neckline with two layered flounced sleeves. The seams seperating the skirt flounce from the upper part of the skirt, and the upper skirt from the bodices both came to a point at the front. It had a zipper closure with decorative covered buttons down the back.

PINK NIGHT Dress
The pink night slip had a lace overlay and decorative bow on the front, with as well as ties at the back of the waist. It was created using the pattern, but adjusted to be shorter and have a better fit. There is an invisible zip on the side and the dress was cut on the bias.

A nightgown was worn over the dress during the show.
